Reflexology is a gentle, holistic therapy based on the idea that different areas of the feet correspond to specific parts of the body. By applying carefully controlled pressure to these reflex points, reflexology works to support the body’s natural balance and encourage deep relaxation.
The practice has ancient roots, with forms of therapeutic foot work recorded in early cultures including Egypt and China, where touch was used to promote harmony and well-being. Modern reflexology continues this philosophy, focusing on supporting the whole person rather than treating individual symptoms.
During a treatment, gentle pressure techniques are applied to the feet in a structured and soothing way. Many people experience a deep sense of calm as the body shifts into a relaxed state, allowing tension to soften and the mind to quieten.

Increased well-being
Release of tension
Your reflexology session lasts approximately 1 hour and 15 minutes, allowing plenty of time for both consultation and treatment.
We begin with a short consultation where you will complete a health and lifestyle form. This helps me understand your individual needs and ensures your treatment is tailored specifically to you. From this information, we will agree on a treatment approach that feels right for your well-being goals.
Once you are comfortably settled on the treatment couch, I will begin with a gentle foot reading, observing areas of the feet that may reflect tension or imbalance within the body. This is followed by a calming relaxation routine to help you fully unwind before the main treatment begins.

I will then work methodically across the reflex points of the feet, corresponding to all areas of the body. During this process, I will take note of any sensations or areas of sensitivity that you may feel, as these can indicate where the body may benefit from extra attention.
After completing the full reflexology routine, I will return to any areas where you – or I – have noticed signs of imbalance, working carefully to support release and restore harmony.
Your treatment will finish with a soothing relaxation routine, helping your body settle and integrate the work that has been done. Afterwards, we will discuss any feedback from the session and, if appropriate, talk about future treatments or ongoing support.
Session cost: £55
This varies from person to person and depends on your individual needs and wellbeing goals. Some people choose reflexology as a one-off treatment for relaxation, while others benefit from a course of sessions to support ongoing concerns or maintain balance. We can discuss what feels right for you during your appointment and review this as we go.
Reflexology should not be painful. Most people find it deeply relaxing and soothing. You may occasionally notice areas that feel slightly tender or sensitive, which can indicate tension or imbalance in the body. Any pressure used is always adjusted to your comfort, and you are encouraged to let me know if anything feels too strong.
Reflexology is suitable for most people and can be enjoyed by adults of all ages. It is often chosen by those looking to relax, manage stress, support sleep, or simply take time for self-care. If you have any medical conditions, are pregnant, or have concerns about your health, these will be discussed during your consultation to ensure the treatment is appropriate and safe for you.
No — although reflexology is carried out on the feet, it is more than a simple foot massage. Specific areas of the feet are believed to correspond with different parts of the body. By applying pressure to these reflex points, reflexology aims to support the body as a whole, encouraging relaxation, balance, and overall wellbeing.
Your consultation form provides important information about your health, lifestyle, and wellbeing. This helps ensure your treatment is safe, appropriate, and tailored to your individual needs. It also gives you the opportunity to share what you would like to gain from reflexology so your sessions can be as beneficial and personalised as possible.
No reflexology is not used to diagnose, treat, or cure medical conditions. While certain areas of the feet may feel more sensitive or show signs of tension, these simply indicate where the body may be holding stress or imbalance.
Reflexology works by supporting relaxation and encouraging the body’s natural ability to restore balance, rather than identifying specific illnesses.
If you have any health concerns or symptoms that worry you, it is always important to speak with your GP or healthcare professional. Reflexology can be a wonderful complementary therapy to support overall wellbeing alongside medical care.
You may be able to claim the cost of your treatment back from your provider. All treatments must be paid for at the time, and a receipt will be provided to assist with your claim.
